Had a memory come to you unexpectedly and wished you could share it with someone who understood?
Wanted to say their name, talk about them, or simply remember them out loud?
Had something you wanted to share about them, but worried that people might not want to hear it?
If you've ever felt this way, you're not alone
This gathering is a gentle space to come together, share stories and memories, say the names of those we've lost,
and listen to others who understand something of what grief can feel like.There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and there is no expectation to share more than you feel comfortable with.
An evening of remembering and sharing
Bring along a favourite photograph of someone you've lost and their name.We'll gather together at the table, light a candle in remembrance, and give each person an opportunity to share a little about
the person they love. You might like to share a favourite memory, tell us what they meant to you, talk about what you miss, or simply tell us something about them that you'd like others to know. You don't need to have the perfect words. You don't need to explain your grief.Sometimes, simply having the opportunity to say their name and tell their story can mean so much.
You are welcome to simply listen
You don't have to share if you don't feel ready. You are welcome to come, listen to the stories of others and
be present at the table in whatever way feels right for you.
